Previously with desk top qb - you could type an amount and then find all invoices related to that amount - it was easy. qb on line does not seem to have this option ?

QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online have different ways of locating transactions. In the online version, let's use the Magnifying Glass button to locate the invoices by amount.

Here's how:

1. Select the Magnifying Glass and then click Advanced Search.
2. On the search fields, select Invoice and Amount.
3. Add the amount on the Enter amount filed.
4. Once done, click on Search.
