Hello there, @appromatt-yahoo-.

I've got some steps that we can perform so you can work with receipts smoothly in QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks allows you to review and match receipts once it has been successfully uploaded.

To do that:

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Receipts tab.
  3. Select a bill or receipt to see more details.
  4. If you see Review in the Action column, select it to make corrections or add missing info.

For more details about managing receipts, please see this link: Capture and categorise expense receipts and bills in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, when you experience unexpected behavior while working with QuickBooks Online, it'd be best to access your account using a private browser. You can add the payee from there and this process helps us isolate if the issue is browser-related.

Here are the shortcut keys for each browser:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Hit Ctrl + Shift + P for Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox
  • Hold Command + Shift + N for Safari

If you're now able to add your payees, clear the cache of the browser you previously used. This enhances the overall performance of the browser and the application. Using other supported browsers is a good alternative too.

To help fix speed issues in QBO, you can always perform the recommended troubleshooting steps found in this link: How to improve performance.

Lastly, I'm sharing this guide that you can use to help you reconcile your bank transactions: Learn how to reconcile your accounts so they always match your bank and credit card statements.

Please reach out to me here if there's every anything I can do to help you succeed with receipts or with QuickBooks. Thanks for dropping by, wishing you a fantastic rest of your day.
