QBO Customer import does not update/overwrite customer. Says already exists?

I import customers daily with no problem.

However, if I import a customer with updated details (ie telephone number change), it does not work, saying customer already exists.

Hello Nanothump22, The import where a customer already exists will not write over, unfortunately. The system will not allow the same customer name to be used again so it would not allow you to import a second customer with the same name either. It would be the case of using the edit feature within the existing customer to update the phone number in this case. Hope that helps.
