Send receipt for partly paid invoice

I would like to email a receipt to a customer for a partly paid invoice.

 

Example:

Invoice showing amount due of £100

Customer pays £20

I would like to email a receipt that says something like "thank you for the payment. I have recevied £20 as per the attached receipt, and the balance of £80 will be due"

After creating an invoice, you can follow these steps to properly email a receipt to a customer for a partly paid invoice in QuickBooks Online(QBO). Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select Customers.
  2. Find the invoice and click Receive payment.
  3. Enter the partial payment amount and select the payment method.
  4. Click Save and close.

 

After following the steps, let's go ahead and send the receipt.

 

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select All sales.
  2. Choose the invoice and click the dropdown, then select Send.

 

Moreover, you have the option to include a personalized message in the text box before sending the email.
