Sending Invoices

When sending an invoice or invoices by email, why does QuickBooks desktop strip all the HTML code out of the body of the email before sending it?

It was no problem original, but now I am unable to send any invoices with formatted content.

Let's run the verify and rebuild steps to isolate the issue, John666.

These troubleshooting steps help us to identify if the software encountered data issues.

Here's how to verify:

  1. Choose Window then Close All.
  2. Verify Data. Choose File then Utilities. Select Verify Data.If you see:
    • QuickBooks detected no problems with your data -no further action is needed.
    • A specific error message, there may already be an article for it. Try searching for it in our QuickBooks Desktop support site for specific instructions.
    • Your data has lost integrity - indicates there is data damage in the file. Continue to the steps below to Rebuild Data to correct the problem.

Then, let's try sending an invoice again.

Feel free to get back to me if there's anything that I can help. Take care!

I had already tried verifying and rebuilding my data file. There were no issues indicated. Emails still won't send without stripping out all the HTML.

Hello John666, thanks for coming back to us, can we ask what email you are using is it a Hotmail or Gmail or a different one you are using?

could you try remove the email address and then try reentering it but just to let you know there is no guarantee that will work but it is worth trying.

Let us know how you get on.
