Question

The ridiculously low character count on this form makes asking any decent question next to impossible. Is there a better way to communicate my problem?

When applying a small credit to an invoice, the default action in green at the bottom right is 'Save and New' this used to be (preffered) 'Save and Close'. In the past these options have defaulted to the last used choice, but that doesn't seem to be happening any longer for this particuler instance. Is there a setting somewhere to change this?

Thanks for reaching out to us, @onsigns limited.

I have some information about the default settings at the bottom of your invoice transaction. Currently, we're unable to set a default option to that portion of the invoice. QuickBooks will only recall the settings from your previous transaction.

In your case, you'll want to open your account using a private browser to check if it's browser-related or not. Let me guide you how.

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

Once you're in your account, go back and try applying for credit or creating an invoice. Click Save and close. Then, open again an invoice to see if the default setting is now Save and close. If it's working, you can go back to your regular browse and clear the cache. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue.

However, if you're getting the same result, please contact our Customer Care Support so we can investigate further. Here's how to reach out:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue. Then, tap Continue.
  4. Click Chat with us.

I'll also be adding this link in case you need help with other customer-related tasks. It contains topics with steps to guide you along: Topics about your company's income and customers.
