We are a retail shop and use an electronic cash register. in QB we use Sales Receipt to capture the daily takings. Is this compliant with MTD digital chain?

Hello vjg1924,

 

That is correct - your VAT will be worked out through the VAT code you are using on your sales receipts.

Hi vjg1924 thanks for posting on Community.

 

If you are using one of our small business products, not the Self Employed product, you will be able to submit your VAT return to HMRC therefore being MTD compliant.

We are using QB Essentials online.

So if we use QB Sales Receipts I don't have to worry about importing the sales data from my Cash Till.

Is this correct?
