What are the permitted logo dimensions for use on invoices? I know the format, image size (kb etc) but not the pixel x pixel guidelines.

Thanks for the clarification, alex.heath.light.

I cannot tell the specific size pixel by pixel of the logo. Though QuickBooks recommends using square-shaped. Other than that, the system will not allow the logo to use in QuickBooks.

Aside from sizes, below are recommended when adding a logo to sales forms in QuickBooks Online. It's all based on our articles that guide you on how to input a logo in your book. Here are the lists:

  • a .gif, .bmp, .png, .jpg, .jpe, or .jpeg file
  • smaller than 10 MB
  • 24-bits or less in bit depth (or colour depth)
  • using the standard RGB colour spaceNote: If your logo is CMKY-formatted, convert it into an RGB image using tools (such as Adobe Photoshop) before you upload it to QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know if you have other questions about managing the logo in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Take care! Thanks!

Hello there, @alex.heath.light.

You can add a logo to your invoice from the Custom form style page.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2.  Choose Custom Form Styles from the pop-up window.
  3. Locate the invoice template and hit Edit under the Action column.
  4. Under the Design tab, hit the Make logo Edits section.
  5. Click the Plus sign icon and select the file.
  6. Hit Save, then Done.

In the meantime, once you change the file type of your logo, and upload it again. I'd suggest reaching out to your IT personnel or the one who creates the logo. They know how to manage it.

I'm adding articles for more details about logo and transaction templates:

Please let me know how everything turns out. I'm always here to keep helping. Have a good one!

Thanks, however you haven't read the question. I am up to speed with how to place a logo, manipulate it in QB.

What I want to know is the best size pixel by pixel the image should be. Reason being that if designed to the wrong size the logo will be unusable on an invoice; either blurred and pixelated or way too detailed.

What is the best width and height of "canvas size" should the designer I'm employing use when they are creating my new logo.
