what category does quick books subscription go under? I've been putting it under professional fees but someone just told me it should be under taxes.  I'm in the UK. Thanks in advance, all advice appreciated.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, we recommend categorizing the subscription under 'other business expenses'. This will then post to box 30 on your Tax Summary, which includes dues and subscriptions as an allowable expense.
