Hi there, @pfuhlprudence.

I hope you're having a great day! I'm here to help you with your issue regarding invoice template.

In QuickBooks Online, you can save multiple templates for each type, choose a default, or switch between them. If you change the default one, it will change the form for any existing unpaid invoices. Make sure to toggle between your created templates when you create an invoice by clicking the Customize button at the bottom of the screen. This will allow you to see all the different styles and custom templates you've made (see screenshot below).

However, if the new invoice template changes the existing ones, you may have too much accumulated historical data causing this unusual behavior. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies. These files allow the websites you visit most often to load faster. Not to worry, clearing them will do the trick.

First, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

If it didn't affect the existing templates, switch back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This way, you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also use a different supported one.

Finally, here's a detailed resource to learn the several options available for customizing the details of your form and what to do if you stumble into an issue:
