When i make sales orders ,they show up as invoices even though they havent been dispatched ,and some are future dated.This is causing me issues when we look at p/l

There is no sales order in QBO, you have to use an estimate as a sales order

Sounds like you are using an invoice and that is the problem, an invoice is a final sale and posts to income when saved
