Question

When sending invoices from qb online (browser&app) the description field appears blank on the emailed invoice (and preview). Any ideas how to correct this?

The description has been added as normal but nothing is displayed. Price etc appear.

Hello Jeremy61, thanks for posting on the Community page, it is most likely that you don’t have the description ticked in the settings. If you follow these steps it should then show the description for you on the invoices going forward. Main Cog wheel>custom form style>click on the template > content > select middle box on invoice> under columns section on left hand side make sure description is ticked > done then when you go into a invoice and review the invoice you should now see the description part showing.

I just had this happen, and it also applies to Estimates as well. The whole "content" area from the template is blank for preview, printing, or email. So I can't send any invoices to customers until this is resolved.

Yes, all are checked in the template, and yes, I have deleted and made 3 new forms and still no luck. I go back to invoices I am waiting to get paid on that are a few weeks old, and even those the area is blank.

I also wanted to note, that I am using the "old" style invoices since I can add the custom fields and have a PO section like most customers want. Thank you
