Why is the snap a receipt not working in the app?

Hello there, @Smart In Design. I'm here to share some details about the possible reasons why the snap feature of QuickBooks Online App will not work.

 

Using the snap feature is very important to minimize the workload of entering details of the receipt into the application. Data issues, app set-up, or updates may be causing the snap feature not to work properly.

 

To troubleshoot, you can begin assessing the checklist below:

 

  • Ensure that there is enough memory data in your device by checking the Device settings > Storage.
  • Check the device settings if camera access is allowed.
  • Update the QBO application if there is an option in the App Store or Play Store.

 

If the snap feature is still not working properly after the assessment, the next step is to uninstall and reinstall the application. This is done to make sure that you'll start with a clean slate.

 

Allow the camera setting and test the snap feature when you're done installing the application. If it still doesn't work, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team to take further action.
