Would you add a subcontractor as a separate bank account in order to reimburse them each month for expenses paid by themselves? and be able to keep a record?

Welcome to the Community page, 

 

You don't need to set them up as a separate bank account to pay subcontractor expenses, you can just pay them from the account that you use.
