I’m happy to see you in the Community, Jonny.

Let me guide you with importing your Spreadsheet/Excel file in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Importing your transactions using a supported file (CSV, Google Sheets, and XLS/XLSX) is available in the application. This enables you to bring the information or data into your company file manually. You’ll want to take note of the transactions that are available to import:

  • Bank Data
  • Customers
  • Suppliers
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Products and Services
  • Invoices
  • Credit Notes
  • Sales Receipts
  • Bills
  • Journal Entries

In this, you’ll want to sort out your file according to their income category to start importing them. Once sorted out, you can follow these steps to start:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Import.
  2. Choose the type of transaction you want to bring into the application.
  3. Add your file by clicking the Browse button and Next.
  4. Map your transactions accordingly for the data to appear in its designated section. Then, click Next.
  5. Once done reviewing, click Import.
