Hi A-E-Albert, the feature to add an attachment from the VAT returns page remains unavailable in QuickBooks Online. If you have the bank account connected, you can add the attachment to the transaction in the For-Review tab before matching this to the payment that you have recorded from the Taxes screen.

To add the attachment on the for-review screen, click into the transaction to edit and select 'Add Attachment' then select the document to upload on the pop-up window. Once this is attached you can then select 'Match' to move this into your reviewed transactions.

Let me provide some information about adding an attachment, @A-E-Albert

At this time, you can only add attachments to the customer, supplier profiles, and their transactions. The feature to add an Attachment box from the VAT returns page is still unavailable in QuickBooks Online.

But, you can take a screenshot of the VAT return and attach the file to that transaction. You can do it by going to that transaction, then at the bottom left, click Attachments.

Here’s more information on how to add Attachments in QuickBooks Online

Let me know if there’s anything that you need or help. I’m always here to assist.

Absolutely no idea what you are talking about, there is no attachment link anywhere on the VAT Submission page. If I have missed it, please let me know where it is.
