Hi there, @timblakeley1.

If you mean your county sales tax is not recognised, let's check the profile of your clients. We need to make sure that your clients have set up an address. Let me show you how:

  1. On the left pane, select Sales then Customers.
  2. Select a customer's name.
  3. At the top right, click Edit
  4. Go to the Address tab and review the address.

If you get this unexpected behaviour when setting up sales tax in your account this may be webpage cache issue.  To verify, we can try using your browser's incognito feature. This feature doesn't use the existing cache files, which makes it a good place to test if there's an issue with the browser.

Here's how:

  • Press the Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome) keys on your keyboard.
  • Press the Ctrl Shift P (Firefox or Internet Explorer) keys on your keyboard.
  • Press Control Option P (Safari) keys on your keyboard.

If it works when using the incognito feature, I suggest you go back to your main browser, and then clear the cache. This step resolves most browser-related issues.

Meanwhile, you can use the following article to run and review sales tax in QuickBooks: VAT Summary Report.

If you're referring to something else, any details would be appreciated to assist you further. Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions.
