Hello, Julie. The problem of changing the bank account during VAT payment recording in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is likely caused by the web browser. Let's work together to troubleshoot and fix this issue.

We can start by pulling up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Once signed in, go to the VAT tab in the Taxes menu to record your VAT payment.

If you're able to do so, return to your default browser and clear its cache. After that, log out and then log back into your account. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues.

However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

In addition, the tax center in QuickBooks Online (QBO) provides all the necessary tools for managing taxes. To learn more about the tasks you can perform on this page, please refer to the article: Manage VAT payments in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep me posted in the comments if you have other system performance concerns or questions about recording and managing VAT payments in QBO. I'll gladly help.
