How to do a Vat return

Hello there, @eternitycampers. I'm here to guide you submit a VAT return in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We can follow these steps to submit a VAT return to HRMC.

1. Go to Taxes, then select VAT.
2. Select Submit return to view your open return.
3. Please Make sure the dates and figures are correct and if you're ready to submit your VAT return to HMRC, select File online with HMRC.
4. Type in your Government Gateway User ID and Government Gateway Password, then select, Yes, I want to proceed.
5. Once HMRC receives your VAT return, you'll see the "Pending with HMRC." status and a message which says, "HMRC is on the case. We'll notify you when the status of your VAT return changes."
