Hi there, ajscontracting.

Since it says it's not recognised when setting up your tax rate, I suggest visiting this link: Address Validation API to check if your country's address is validated . The Address Validation API checks a customer's address and provides suggested alternatives if an error is discovered.

If you confirmed that it's valid, this could be the browser keeps outdated Internet files that may cause websites, like QuickBooks Online, to receive unusually invalid messages.

First, I suggest using your browser's incognito when logging into your QBO account. It doesn't use the existing cache files, which makes it a good place to test if there's an issue with the browser.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Press the Ctrl + Shift + N  for Google Chrome.

  • Press the Ctrl + Shift + P  for Firefox or Internet Explorer

  • Press Control + Option + P for Safari.

If it works when using the incognito feature, I recommend you go back to your main browser, and then clear its cache. This step resolves most browser-related issues.

If the steps above don't work, you can use other supported browser as alternatives.

Meanwhile, you can use the following article to run and review sales tax in QuickBooks: VAT Summary Report.

If you're referring to something else, any details would be appreciated to assist you further. Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions.
