I have a bank payment for the VAT payment and want to post it to the correct account. I have 2 VAT accounts ??

Did you record this filing through the Taxes screen?

When filed, there is an option to 'Record payment'against the filing.

QuickBooks automatically posts this payment to the VAT suspense account to offset the liability created when the return is marked as filed :)
