I have enabled MTD & authorised HMRC to connect to quickbooks, but when I try to submit a VAT return it says 'We can’t connect to HMRC right now' What should I do next?

Hi Paul, 

 

This usually related to the connection with HMRC and there are a few things we can check to get this on track to make submissions. 

 

Firstly, please check that you have entered the correct VAT registration number by going to Taxes > Select the drop-down beside Edit VAT > Select Edit settings > View VRN. 

 

This should be entered in number format only without any letters or spaces. 

 

After this please select the 'Take Action' button on the Taxes screen and confirm you have completed all steps to register for MTD with HMRC.
