I wish to submit my UK VAT tax return for the Quarter to 31/3/20

You can submit your VAT return directly to HMRC from QuickBooks. Let me walk you through the process.

1. In the left navigation panel, go to Taxes and then VAT.
2. Select Submit return to view your open return.
3. Confirm the dates and figures are correct. Then, File online with HMRC.
4. Enter your Government Gateway User ID and Government Gateway Password. Then, Yes, I want to proceed.
5. You'll see Pending with HMRC once HRMC receives your VAT return.
6. Hit Close.

Once successful, the status will then change to Approved by HMRC. Please see this article for more information about submitting a VAT return in QuickBooks Online.
