Question

In QB 2016 Pro desktop, can Company name, VAT Number, VAT Period Start and End Dates be displayed in the VAT 100 Summary Report and thus all be exported to Excel?

I'm using a bridging software VAT filer to submit quarterly VAT return to HMRC.

The present VAT 100 Report does not have required details of Company name, VAT Number, VAT Period Start and End Dates.

How can I changre the setting son the VAT 100 Report?

Hello Nayoung

Thanks for contacting the Community

Currently the only things that can be displayed that you mentioned is the VAT period on the VAT 100 report for the 2016 pro Desktop product

Thanks

In order to fulfil VAT MTD filing requirements to HMRC I need to generate an Excel Worksheet (which would be my Source File) that contains:

* Company Name

* VAT Number.

* VAT Period Start Date

* VAT Period End Date

PLUS all the data in currently generated VAT 100 Report: Box 1 through to Box 9.

What can I do please? Surely there are some settings in QB 2016 Pro that can be changed to achieve this?

This is turning into a disaster!

Hello Nayoung,

Are you looking to submit this as an excel sheet through a bridging tool for MTD?

You may be able to get all of the data in the current period, using a VAT DETAIL report, and exporting this to excel, and adding in the required columns for this information.

Effectively, Company name, VAT number, VAT Period start and end dates can be added easily, as they are not going to change(?); whereas the data that generates the box figures will be available in a detail report.
