Question

My address is not being recognised as the uk so I can’t set my tax rate? Also I’ve linked my business account and it is not showing as visible? Is this app a problem?

You and I share a common goal. Let's perform some troubleshooting solutions to set up your tax rate, pjs_plumbing-hot.

First, let's try validating your address in this link to better isolate the issue: https://www.postoffice.co.uk/postcode-finder. The Address Validation API checks a customer's address and provides suggested alternatives if an error is discovered.

Once verified, try setting up your tax rate again. Just follow the steps and details in this article: Set up and edit VAT settings, VAT codes, and VAT rates

If the same thing happens, try accessing QuickBooks Online (QBO) on a private or incognito window. This helps us check if this is a  browser issue or not.

Just use these keyboard shortcuts in opening a private window:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

If it works, clear your browser's cache to delete all the browsing history. You can also use other supported web browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

I have a link here that provides you with articles about managing your taxes: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/vat/misc/02/uk-vat?label=QuickBooks%20Online.

I'm just one comment away if you need a hand with running VAT reports or any QBO related. I'll be here to ensure your success. You have a good one.
