Re claim VAT but now whole receipt is Vatable

I have a receipt with a few items on, not all are vatable how do you enter the VAT when it is not a specific percentage, i.e. its not 5 per cent or 20 per cent

I got you covered with this question.

 

If you need to enter a VAT percentage that's not listed, you can create a custom tax rate. Let me show you how:

  1. Click the Taxes tab.
  2. Under the VAT column, click the Edit VAT drop-down menu. Then select Edit rates.
  3. Click the Add tax rate button.
  4. Assign a tax name and description. You can also tick this tax rate if it's used for sales, or purchases, or both.
    • For Sales, assign an account, show tax amount on return line, show net amount on return line.
    • For Purchases, assign an account and show net amount on return line. 
  5. Press Save.

You're done. At this point, you can use that custom tax rate you created on your transactions.
