Total income showing the same figure as CIS income on profit loss report. All of my invoices have CIS 20% deductions, but profit loss won’t show me my total turnover?

Total Income figure is showing the same as CIS standard income (20%) figure. Surely the total income should be before the CIS deduction is made?

First, could you please confirm if the invoice with the CIS 20% deduction has been paid? Please note that the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) will only calculate when a payment is made. Since QuickBooks handles CIS calculations on a cash basis, an unpaid invoice would not be included in your Profit and Loss report's total turnover.

 

However, if it's already paid, I suggest we perform some troubleshooting steps to determine whether the issue is related to your browser. Start by logging in to a private browser, this will not store cache files that can cause lag to a web-based program. You can follow these shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If it works, return to your regular browser and clear its cache to refresh the website's preferences. You can also utilize a supported browser as an alternative.

So, the total income is actually showing the figure before CIS is deducted, as it should. however, the CIS deduction is showing as the same figure, when it should be 20% less? I can confirm that the CIS deductions are correct on all invoices, they’re all paid up to date, and when I run a CIS report it’s all correct, it’s just not correct on my profit loss report
