Unable to submit VAT return no message given, tries to connect then goes straight back to taxes page any ideas what is wrong?

If you received an error even after enabling MTD, there must be some other issue causing this error, such as browser-based or cache documents. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to narrow down the problem.

 

To rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, log in to QuickBooks using an incognito browser. Private browsing does not save or cache any local files. Depending on the browser, you can use these keyboard shortcuts.

 

  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

Once done, please complete your VAT return again. If it works without issues, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to fix the unexpected behavior in the product. If not, use other supported web engines. The one you're currently using may be having a temporary problem with QuickBooks. You can get back to work by installing a new browser.
