Good morning

I have some filed tax returns that are stating 'record refund'.  The refunds are already recorded back in the year of the return eg. 2014 and 2016.  This is not affecting end of year accounts, but I would like to tidy the page up so these returns are showing correctly in the 'Paid Returns'.   Any ideas ?

Hi bjm-62, thanks for your post - the only way to remove the record refund status would be to record a payment against the return(s). If you have the original payment on QuickBooks, you could delete these and then re-record the historical payments directly against the return (you would then need to re-reconcile these payments by clicking the cog > reconcile > select bank account > enter the same end date and balance as your previous bank rec > click begin reconciling > tick the payments and save). Alternately, an accountant/bookkeeper may be able to advise on an alternate account to post these to. 🙂
