VAT Box 6 doesn't match Trial balance Sales account

Is there an easy way to find out why/ how to fix it?

I realize it was because when you click into an item on the TB it defaults the custom dates back to the start of the accounting period.

Hi ellenb123, thanks for joining the Community. That's right, as you've spotted the TB will run from and default to the first month of the accounting year as set in your account settings (Cog > Account & settings > Advanced > Accounting). If you have any further queries, get back in touch. 🙂
