VAT RETURN REJECTED

My VAT return was rejected via HMRC - says call them as there is INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR. I called them and they told me to contact your software provider. Please advise.

Hello Jamal Abdul Nasir, 

 

I can see your account is associated with a QuickBooks Online Accounting Firm - so that I can verify the error in the background, can I confirm if you are submitting for your firm or on behalf of a client? 

 

Usually this error means that the HMRC gateway has not returned a valid response, in which case you can wait and try again later, or if the issue has not resolved within 24 hours will need to speak to HMRC.
