When I refresh my VAT centre to stay connected to HMRC it says "the connection to HMRC has stopped so let us get it sorted. Have you sorted it yet?

Hi @michaelgrove,

 

Let's get your VAT Centre back up and working correctly.

 

I've got a few things here I need you to check:

  1. Date range of the current return, if the end date is in the future then there is no issue.
  2. VAT registration number is correct in QBO.
  3. Gateway ID is correct for the VRN .
  4. Disconnect MTD using the Learn how to disconnect button in Accounts and Settings and then go to the disconnect from HMRC link before reconnecting. Try this multiple times as there are confirmed reports of this working after 3 or 4 times.

If in case it still doesn't work for you after trying these steps, I'd suggest contacting our phone support department. They can add you to the list of our affected users, this way you'll receive a notification email when there's updates.
