When I create a credit card account, I make a non-zero balance account. Now I want to remove that. What should I do? This balance is in the chart of account, not in the account register. I use QB online.

To make sure we're both on the same page, could you walk me through how you created the non-zero balance on your end? If you're referring to the beginning balance, you can correct it using the steps in this article here. The article provides the necessary steps required in order to reflect the correct balances on your account.

When I want to create an account, the first I choose "When do you want to start tracking your finances from this account in QuickBooks?" and also I enter the amount in the section "what was your account's balance on mm/dd/yy." so this amount is shown just in account chart, not in the account history.
