Can a new user I added to one of my bookkeeping client accounts only see their specific account?

Hi maureenorman,

Welcome back to the Community. I'll be happy to share more info about user roles in QuickBooks. The program makes it simple for you to manage your users.

There are three types of limited users that can be added to the account;

  • Limited User (Views customers and sales)
  • Limited User (Views customers and purchases)
  • Limited User (Views customers and sales, plus suppliers and purchases)

All the limited users on the account can view the dashboard. A way around this would be adding None user. This user can't use any of the accounting features in QuickBooks Online. They can submit time sheets. I encourage you to learn more about user roles by browsing this helpful article: User types and user permissions in QuickBooks Online. If you're looking for more specific restrictions, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers. You can do this by clicking the Gear icon and looking for Feedback.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have questions by leaving a comment below. Otherwise, enjoy the rest of your week! :)
