Can I put my QuickBooks subscription on hold? I don’t want to lose the account, but I don’t want to pay for the subscription while it’s not being used

Welcome to the Community! QuickBooks is a versatile program that enables you to get your work done faster. I'll be happy to point you in the right direction so you can achieve your QuickBooks goals. 

 

The ability to pause your subscription isn't available. The available options would be downgrading to a lower subscription package to reduce the monthly cost or temporarily canceling your account. If you decide to cancel your account, it's important to note that your data will be available for Read-Only access for 1 year and after that, the data gets deleted. Here's a helpful article with more info on how to cancel a subscription. 

 

I can see the benefit of being able to place your account on hold and I recommend sending feedback about this to our engineers.
