Can my manager sign on as an accountant so she can see the books.

Welcome to the Community! Having the ability to add multiple users to your QuickBooks Online company allows for greater flexibility and collaboration with your colleagues. I can explain your options for adding your manager as a user. 

 

Each QuickBooks Online subscription level has a different number of maximum users. QuickBooks Easy Start allows one user, Essentials allows three users, and Plus allows five users. All three plans let you to add up to two accounting firm users in addition to normal users. If you're using Essentials or Plus, I would set up your manager as as a regular user with admin privileges in order to review the books. You'd only need to add your manager as an accounting form user if you're using QuickBooks Online Easy Start, since that plan only allows one normal user. When you do this, you manager will need to create their own QuickBooks Online Accountant account in order to proceed and see the books. If you go this route, I recommend reviewing this article for further details: Sign up for QuickBooks Online Accountant
