Can’t access qb from app . It just charges me extra and sets up new account

Hi there info@sarahmarten,

 

It's vital that you have access to the right tools in order to help you manage your company's books. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you access your company's books from any location with an internet connection. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with accessing your account from the mobile app. 

 

One thing to note is that there are different apps for different subscription types. Here are what you should be looking for:

 

  • If you have a QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription, you'll need to find the app named QuickBooks Self-Employed specifically.
  • If you have QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, Plus or Advanced, you'd need to get the QuickBooks Accounting app.

If you've chosen the incorrect app for the subscription type you already have, that could very well be the reason that you're unable to sign into your existing account. if you are using the correct app but still have issues with signing in, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks support team outside of the community for assistance. They'll be able to assist you in signing in so you can use the mobile app. You can reach them using these steps for QuickBooks online or QuickBooks Self-Employed:

 

QuickBooks Self-Employed: 

  • Chat: Go to the Assitant feature, then type Talk to Human in the text box to be connected to a support team member by chat.

 

QuickBooks Online

  • Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
  • Social Media: Facebook and Twitter
