We missed that our subscription had lapsed and now we are trying to recover all the company history.

We're here to help you out, usershawnq465.

Typically, if your subscription lapsed, or if the billing system was unable to withdraw funds from your account for the subscription billing successfully, the account will be placed on suspension until the payment information is updated within the account. However, all of your company data still remains within the account.

In order to regain access to the account data, you'll need to update your subscription payment information by:

1. Logging into QBO (qbo.intuit.com)
2. Clicking the ⚙ Gear Icon
3. Choose Billing & Subscriptions
4. Select the Billing Details tab and choose 'Edit Billing Information'
5. Then 'Save' the changes

Once you get the billing info updated, the system will verify the payment details and reactivate the subscription. From there you can navigate the account as normal and save/export any information you'd like to keep copies of.

If your subscription lapsed 5 years ago or longer, please get in touch with our QuickBooks Online Technical Support Team using the following link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_CA/contact so they can submit a ticket from our end to have the company re-activated for use/access.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again here in the QB Community.
