Question

Do I have to renew subscription for 2021 for online QB ? or does it just keep taking fees from my bank ? I don't seem to be able to access support to ask question

Welcome to the QuickBooks Online community family! It's great you're using the Online version of QuickBooks to easily access your books anywhere and from any device. With QuickBooks Online, you can either go for a monthly or an annual subscription. Depending on which frequency you chose for your plan, we will automatically charge your payment method on your anniversary date. So as long as you have enough funds in your credit or debit card, you don't have to worry about renewing your subscription in your settings. You can always go to the Billing & Subscription tab to verify if your account status is Active. Here's how.

  1. Open a web browser on your computer (not a mobile device).
  2. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an admin user.
  3. Select Settings ⚙ and then Account and settings.
  4. Go to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  5. View the status in the QuickBooks section.

If we encounter a fail attempt on your anniversary date, we usually do two more before suspending the account. You'll then be required to reactivate the account, in this case, to renew your subscription. You don't have to worry about your data as we keep it for up to a year after suspending, so you can always come back and pick up where you left off.
