Does a user have to be an Admin (not a standard user) in order to be able to send receipts using the Quickbooks Online app on their phone?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Online Community family! I'm glad to hear you're taking advantage of the mobile app to easily run your business on the go. Knowing exactly what each user can do in the program help you select the best role for each member of your team. I'd be happy to share more on this.

 

Both Admin and non-restricted standard users can create and send receipts to QuickBooks Online from your iOS or Android device using the QuickBooks Online mobile app. One thing to note is that QuickBooks Online only allows one email to be associated with a user at a time, so when using the receipt capture feature, the email that the receipts come from must match their email that's already entered into the program. You can find further details about user requirements and using the receipt capture feature in the following Community article: Capture and categorize expense receipts and bills in QuickBooks Online
