Question

Email forwarding for QB Self-employed

I set up email forwarding a few months ago and tested it. It worked perfectly. Now when I try to use the same function I get an email from Intuit that my email forwarding is not set up and takes me to QB online to set it up. But I don't use QB online I use QB self-employed.  I chatted with support, no help there, the representative said "It's a problem with your email provider" which is just stupid. I didn't find a phone number for technical support. How do I fix the problem?

Hi Rufiya,

Welcome to Community!  Email forwarding in QuickBooks Self-Employed is a great way to save valuable time and keep ahead of your work.  I'll be happy to provide more information so you can get back to business!

Based on the information you've provided, I suggest following this guide to ensure your email address is set up.  Please note that you can run into issues if you have special characters in your email address.

Should you continue to experience the same behavior, it's best to reach out to QuickBooks Self-Employed customer care team for additional assistance.  They'll have the ability to have a look further into this from their end so you can get back to what you love!

Please feel free to reach back out with other questions.  We'd be glad to assist!

Thank you, Trish. I already checked the guide and made sure that my email is set up for email forwarding. Chat support wasn't helpful. I wish there was a phone number I could call and explain the problem. I do not have any special characters in my email.

I hear you on this. Reaching out to the Chat team would be the best way forward from here. Were you able to escalate this through Chat support? If not, I recommend taking that route so you can get the resolution you need in a timely manner.
