It's a pleasure to see you in Community.  Welcome!  Having the option to separate your expenses into different categories, is a great way to keep your chart of accounts organized.  QuickBooks Online provides the ability to create subaccounts, so you can break down your expenses, income, and other account types into more detail.  I would be glad to provide more information, so you can accomplish your QuickBooks goals with confidence!

 

You can divide your business account into subaccounts so you can track different types of payments like internet, telephone, water, and more.  When you create subaccounts under a parent account, you can also create reports with greater detail.  You will be able to create up to five subaccounts under one parent account.  Here's a helpful guide, to assist you with the process.
