I can help you invite your accountant successfully in QuickBooks Online, @mama517.

Before we report this issue to our engineers, I suggest opening your account in a private web browser first or trying a different one. We need check if this is a caching problem.

Unexpected issues with the features in QuickBooks, like printing vendor or sales forms, are sometimes associated with the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because a regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

Once done, follow the same steps you did earlier to send a new accountant invite. Just in case, I'm adding them again below for your reference.

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.
  2. Click the Settings icon ⚙ and select Manage users.
  3. Go to the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Look for your accountant firm.
  5. Select Invite.
  6. Input your accountant's info and select Save..

If the problem doesn't come up, clear the cache to resolve browser issues in QBO. You can also use a different browser and see if the issue persists there.

Please update this thread for the result of the troubleshooting. I want to make sure you're all set so you can finally have the accountant user added. I'll be right here to help you anytime.
