Question

How can I transfer the primary admin to my client when they have an EasyStart subscription level? Will this affect the wholesale billing subscription cost?

One of my clients has an EasyStart subscription, and I am the primary admin for the account since it was created by my firm. He has asked that I make him the primary admin. Since he only has access to one User, I can't do this on my own, so how can I go about doing this? Also, will this cause any change to his wholesale subsc/ription price since his subscription is charged through my firm

It's a pleasure to see you in Community.  Welcome!  When you're the Primary Admin and the Accountant user on a QuickBooks Online account, it can affect your role and access rights when signing in.  Transferring the Primary Admin role, can become a challenge.  Don't worry, I'm here to help!

 

It's recommended that different email addresses are used for each user type, to prevent any confusion when signing in.  If your login credentials for both user roles are related to your Accounting firm, you will automatically be logged in as the Accountant.  This prevents you from being able to transfer the Primary Admin role.  In your situation, the best course of action is to submit this Primary Admin request.  We'll take care of it from our end, and you'll receive an email notification with the status of your request.  The email will be from no_response@intuit.com.  Making changes to the Primary Admin will not affect your wholesale billing.
