How do I accept a client invitation? I get as far as Choosing my firm and nothing happens.

First time accepting a client invitation for quickbooks online from quickbooks accountant. I get to the point where I choose my company name, which does appear, but nothing happens... Has anyone experience this ? Know how to fix it?

Hi jen-glover-gmail.

 

Accepting a clients invite to be their accountant is key to being able to access their account, make updates and changes, even putting them on your wholesale billing if you wish. I'd be happy to help you get the accountant invite accepted.

 

First thing you should try and do would be to clear your cache and cookies incase there is something preventing you from properly accepting the invite. Once that's done you can follow the steps in this article to troubleshoot accepting the invite. You should also reach out to your client and get them to make sure they don't already have an accountant added and are also using the Canadian version of QuickBooks Online. If they do have an accountant already they can remove them by following these steps.

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Manage users.
  3. Find the user you want to delete. Then select the arrow icon in the Action column.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. In the confirmation window, select Delete again.
