Question

How do I correct a Sales Tax report if it is not showing my sales transaction before I purchased QB HST/GST?

I only enrolled QB HST/GST when I reached the 30k thresshold. Before that, I did not charge HST/GST to my clients.

Hello there, sterg. We need to review the invoices that do not include taxes to determine if they should be subject to taxation. I'm here to expand on this below.

Please note that if these are overdue taxes, penalty fees may apply. You should consult your tax agency to understand how to address this issue and determine the applicable fees.

On the other hand, if you have already addressed this issue but the sales tax report does not reflect the transactions, you may need to customize the report accordingly. For guidance on how to do this, please refer to this article: Customize reports and create custom summary reports in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

Additionally, you can refer to this article about using your reports outside QuickBooks: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

Please return to this thread if you have other questions about your sales tax in QuickBooks, sterg. We're here to help you in any way we can.
