How do I delete a product or service?

It's great to have you contact us here in the Community. QuickBooks is a versatile program that simplifies the way you manage your accounting. I'll be happy to show you how to delete a product or service in QuickBooks. 

Here's how to do this: 

1. Select Settings ⚙ and then Products and Services.
2. Find the product or service you want to change.
3. From the Action ▼ dropdown, select Make inactive. Select Yes to confirm.

To reactivate an item later on:

1. Select Settings ⚙ and then Products and Services.
2. Select the Filter icon.
3. From the Status ▼ dropdown, select All and select Apply. This shows you all of your active and inactive items.
4. Find the product or service that you want to reactivate.
5. From the Action ▼ dropdown, select Make active.
