One of the beauties of QuickBooks Desktop is being able to create as many company files as you'd like with a single subscription. The subscription or purchase of the license in this case is a fee for the program itself rather than a per company fee. So, if you needed 10 company files for your one subscription, you can do that! Since you mention having the Accountant edition of the software, I suspect you may be looking to work with clients, which is also great!
