Question

I am the primary administrator but I cannot modify our accountants. Does anyone know why?

Hi clynch-rn,

 

It's nice to see you in Community.  Welcome!  I can understand the concern, when managing users and accountant users, causes a delay with your QuickBooks goals.  I would be happy to help!

 

Only the Primary Admin on the account can manage accountant users in the books, it's important to make sure the associated email address for the Primary Admin is not associated with the accounting firm.  If the accountant is also the Primary Admin, this will prevent access to removing an accounting user.  In this case, the Primary Admin role will need to be transferred to the company owner, by following the steps here.  Once the role has been transferred, any necessary changes to the accountant users can be made by the Primary Admin without delay or concern.  If the Primary Admin is unable to transfer the role, don't worry, we've got you!  Follow this link to submit a Primary Admin request, and we will take care of that from our end.
