Hi there debsaputo,

Fingerprint access when using the mobile app is a fantastic option for giving you ease of access while making sure that your QuickBooks Online data stays secure. I can see how using only your thumb to login would make things a bit tricky when you'd like to login somewhere else instead. I'll help you find your username.

Most of the time, your username is going to be the email you used to sign up for the account, however, it's possible to also set a username that's separate from the email. When you're not sure what your username is, it doesn't hurt to check. Pick the instructions for the operating system phone uses and follow along to find your username.

Find your username in the iOS app

  1. Select the three-line menu on the right side of the screen at the bottom of the app.
  2. Choose the gear icon in the top left of the screen.
  3. Look for the User ID at the bottom of the screen.

Find your username in the Android app

  1. Select the three dots at the top right of the app.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Tap the About option under the Help heading (Note: You may need to scroll to see this heading).
  4. Look for the User ID.

Once you have that, you'll be able to login from new access points, such as the app on another device or through the browser by going to qbo.ca. If you did want to change your username, you can do so by logging into accounts.intuit.com and editing what's in the User ID field. Just keep in mind that's what you'll need to use to login from that point on.

Let me know how it goes!
